Liu Bolin è un incredibile artista cinese di 35 anni che utilizza la sua arte per scomparire e fondersi con il paesaggio circostante. Dopo aver scelto e studiato la location, Bolin impiega anche 10 ore per dipingere su se stesso o su figuranti gli elementi dello sfondo che gli doneranno l’invisibilità.

La sua è una spettacolare (e virale) protesta contro il governo cinese che gli ha chiuso lo studio nel 2005, nonché una protesta contro le persecuzioni degli artisti nel suo paese, costretti appunto ad una sofferta invisibilità.

Liu Bolin, 35, is an incredible chinese artist that uses his art to disappear and fuse himself with the surroundings.
He chooses the right location and works until 10 hours to paint on his own body the background elements that will give him the magic invisibility.

His art is an amazing (and viral) protest against chinese government that shut down his studio in 2005, and it’s also an extended protest against persecution of artists in his country, forced to a painful invisibility.
